Blueberry Cinnamon Buns

Dough Ingredients
1 cup milk
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 teaspoon yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cup flour

Filling Ingredients
2 cup Klaassen Blueberries
2 tablespoon orange juice
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon corn starch
2 tablespoons water

Spread Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 butter

Instructions for the dough

  1. Put milk, eggs, salt, butter, water and sugar into a pot and warm up. 110 degrees F. Pour mixture into kitchen mixer and slowly add some flour. Then add yeast and keep adding the rest of the flour until dough is nice and smooth. Let rise for about 40 minutes.

Instructions for Blueberry sauce

  1. Mix Blueberries, orange juice and sugar in a small saucepan. Cook until Blueberries break down. Then add the cornstarch/water mixture. Cook all together until mixture thickens. Set aside and let cool.
  2. Take half of the rise dough and roll out. Spread a little bit of butter and sprinkle some of the cinnamon/sugar mixture. Then spread the blueberry sauce on top. Roll together and cut. Place in greased pan. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
