One of the many great things about living in Chilliwack is our communities desire to support local businesses, farms and their families. Our farm has some amazing partnerships throughout Chilliwack, the Fraser Valley and even in the Okanagan. In our Local Feature Series we will be highlighting these partnerships to let you know where you can purchase our fresh or frozen Blueberries while supporting local businesses in your area.
Produce Gone Wild
If you are wild about produce and supporting local farms our friends at Produce Gone Wild have you covered for fresh, local and tasty produce. This coming Spring of 2019 will make 4 years of being in business for Vanni De Bartolo of Produce Gone Wild. Vanni jumped at the opportunity to open a produce store by the Mad Butcher in downtown Chilliwack and will be opening a second Produce Gone Wild location here very soon. A second location by Fraser Valley Meats will help to supply customers on the Sardis side of Chillliwack with the same quality of local produce that their existing customers have come to love.
One of the reasons Vanni says supporting local is an important part of our community is that people want to shop locally and know where the food they are buying is coming from.
Produce Gone Wild is proud to support an abundance of local farmers who harvest fresh, wholesome and quality food for their customers to enjoy.
On top of supporting local farms such as Klaassen Farms, Vanni currently is the play-by-play voice of our local junior “A” Chilliwack hockey team, Chilliwack Chiefs. Vanni has an extensive sports background and went to BCIT for Radio Broadcasting and he also has worked for 3 professional sports teams and two junior hockey teams.
Produce Gone Wild carries our fresh Blueberries during berry season (early July – mid September) and also stocks our 5 pound bags and 10 pound boxes of Frozen Duke Blueberries year round. They love our berries as much as we do and when you ask them they will tell you that ours are the best tasting Blueberries around! We are looking forward to working with them when their new location opens and to another great season in 2019.
